Thoughts and Words

Our thoughts and words are like the rudder of a ship — they may seem small, but they affect the direction of our lives.

When my children were young, we spent most of our weekends at this dam, at the sailing club. This is where we spent quality time as a family. The words and moments shared together here shaped the future for my children. It’s important to give children that foundation where they feel safe and confident in themselves. Most of all to give them of yourself and your time.

Beauty is a light in the heart

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart. ~ Kahlil Gibran

Growing up!

I have three children and all three have completely different personalities. My eldest son is 20 years old, my daughter is 16 and my youngest son is now 13. I have experienced many “stages” and enjoyed each one in different ways. I am sure there are more to come. The joys of growing up!

Just a little boy.

Here is a photo of my son mustering up the courage to take off on his skate board – one of the many stages. We do not often find him sitting still. I love this photo because it is so typical and in a way so atypical of him….Here he looks just like the “softy” that he is. Tough guy but tender boy…
I don’t care too much for portrait photography in studio but I love to capture a documentary portrait. It tells you so much more about the subject.
